An Unwelcome Visitor

Just when you think it's safe to let the children run free in the warm (ish) growing daylight of springtime in Alaska... the dreaded and feared abominable snow moosibou rears its ugly head. It comes forth from the ever dwindling glaciers as a sullen reminder that it is not beaten, it merely lays dormant, undead, waiting for you to get your flip flops, shorts and tank tops out. Then it pounces, relentless, causing people who've driven for months in winter conditions to forget what that wet white stuff will do to traction at 70 mph. But we will endure, after all, bear season is upon us.
